White-labeling is simple: a factory builds a finished panel, and multiple brands put their name on it and sell it. It’s a legitimate, common model — but it has consequences for a buyer:
- The same hardware appears under many names, often at very different prices, as independent reviews have documented.
- The reselling brand controls marketing, not engineering — so it frequently doesn’t hold the test data, because it didn’t run the tests.
- You’re buying a marketing layer, and your recourse on quality, consistency, or claims runs through a company that doesn’t control the product.

What a real factory can show that a reseller can’t
The cleanest test isn’t a question about identity — it’s a request for evidence. A maker has it; a relabeler doesn’t.

Country of origin isn’t the real question
It’s tempting to use “made in China” as a proxy for quality — but it’s the wrong filter, and here’s the uncomfortable truth: most red light panels worldwide are made in China, including those sold by premium Western brands. The Western logo on the box is often a marketing layer over a Chinese-built panel. So “is it Chinese?” tells you almost nothing.
The question that actually discriminates is: does whoever made this control and document its own engineering? A factory that designs its own boards and publishes full test data is more verifiable than a reseller — Western or otherwise — that can’t produce a single device-specific report. Run this on any supplier — including the ones with the nicest branding:
- 1. Do you design your own PCBA and LED drivers, or assemble a finished panel?
- 2. Can you provide a spectrometer-based irradiance report that names this device?
- 3. What LED brand and bin, with lifespan data?
- 4. Can you share EMF and flicker measurements for this panel?
- 5. Is there a traceable production batch code?
- 6. What can you customize beyond logo and packaging — and at what MOQ?
- 7. Does the same panel appear under other brand names?
- 8. Will you put a representative on a factory or video audit?
